1. Double-click the K7 icon in the System Tray. The K7 AntiVirus main console opens.
2. Click Settings option on the top panel of the console. The Configure AntiVirus dialog opens.
3. Click the Scanner tab. Select All Files and click Apply.

2.How do I schedule the scan task to occur automatically?

1. Double-click the K7 icon in the System Tray. The K7 AntiVirus main console opens.
2. Click the Tasks tab. The pre-defined scheduled tasks are displayed.
3. Select the task you want to schedule and click Change.
4. Click Schedule on the top panel and click the option Enable Scheduling of this task. Select the appropriate options in the schedule task and choose the timing.
5. Click Apply and click Close to exit the Configure Antivirus dialog.

3.How can I configure the status of K7 AntiVirus services?

Click Start > Run. Type "Services.msc" and click OK. Services window will open.

There are Three K7 services…

• K7Computing - Email Proxy Server
• K7RealTime Antivirus Services
• K7TotalSecurity Manager

Right click on the service and select Start / Stop / Pause / Resume / Restart.

1. Open K7 AntiVirus main console and click Update manager option.
2. When the Update manager dialog opens, click options on the top panel of the dialog.
3. Select Enable Automatic Update of the Product when the System Starts check box and select an option from the list.
4. If your Internet connection is through a proxy server, select Access Internet through a Proxy Server check box; enter the details of the proxy server in the fields provided and Click Close.
5. Make sure you are connected to the Internet and click Start. Once the product has been updated you will need to close all open applications and reboot your computer if you are prompted.

5. How do I update my virus definitions manually?

1. (Option A) Open K7 AntiVirus main console and click the Update manager option on the tools panel of the console. (Option B) Right-click on the K7 icon in the System Tray and select the Updates. The Update Manager dialog appears.
2. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet and click Start.

6. Why the automatic updates are not taking place automatically?

This could happen due to one or more scenarios.

Scenario 1: When the automatic update feature is disabled.
1. Open K7 AntiVirus main console.
2. Click Update manager option on the tools panel of the console.
3. When the Update manager dialog opens, click options on the top panel of the dialog.
4. Select Enable Automatic Update of the Product when the System Starts if it has been disabled.

Scenario 2: When proxy settings are not done properly.
1. If you use a proxy server then select the check box "Access Internet through a Proxy Server and enter the details of the proxy server" in the update manager dialog.
2. Enter IP Address: Port Number. Enter the User name and Password if any. Click Close.
